Reunions Chairs
Traditionally, the class has two to three Reunions Chairs, who split the responsibilities of updating the class on Reunions every year, and planning a major Reunion every five years. Reunions Chairs for this cycle will be responsible for planning our 15th Reunion in 2025.
The work includes organizing committee chairs, who will support the overarching pillars of the event itself: food and beverage, costume design, the P-Rade, community service, entertainment, housing, and registration.
The current class president, Meaghan Byrne, is a former Reunions Chair and will be able to guide you through the process. We should also note that Meaghan will continue to lead organization efforts for ‘21 or ‘22, pending decisions by the University, though she would, of course, be grateful for support here, pending the time and availability of the new chairs.
Diversity and Inclusion chair
This is a new chair and because of that, there is a good deal of room to define the role. The below are some of the goals we hope for the chair to target:
Ensuring that class leadership itself is diverse, including women, minorities, and diverse points of view. This goal could be pursued through constructively challenging the assumptions and perspectives of those in class leadership roles, or developing bias/sensitivity training programs.
Develop ad-hoc or programmatic elements throughout the year in the pursuit of engaging in the essential work of confronting systemic racism, sexism, and other forms of harmful bias. This programming could also include content or event programming.
Coordinate with other classes on their initiatives, including but not limited to the Princeton Class of 2016’s Tigers for Justice initiative.
Community Service and Environmental Impact Chair
This is a new chair and because of that, there is a good deal of room to define the role. The below are some of the goals we hope for the chair to target:
Develop programmatic or ad-hoc goals for the class around community service and environmental impact goals.
Lead Reunions efforts on reducing environmental impact.
Develop and lead efforts to grow a scholarship fund for Reunions or other Princeton-related event attendance.
